-I just graduated high school and I'm going to UCLA as a freshman in the fall. I live out of state, and I want to spend the summer working. Should I get an apartment in Santa Monica (I was looking at 1221 Ocean Ave), or stay at home in my state and work here?Santa monica will be quite pricey especially if you are alone, not to mention leases in LA are generally 1 year (but a sublet could be an option!)
You should consider downtown westwood since you are going to UCLA anyway its a fun college town and you may find it easier to get a job and make friends there.
May not be that easy to find a job since summer is already here. Santa Monica is cool, but unless you have already lived on your own, you may be better off living on campus your freshman year.
Btw, way to go on getting into UCLA!
you can but santa monica is very expensive to live you would have to get a bunch of roommates to make the rent every month
